City Landlord is an independently owned company and we provide residential landlords and property owners with access quality products at competitive prices.

Within our organisation we have extensive personal experience of managing and maintaining residential let properties and we have tried to pass on the benefit of this experience through this website. This information is provided free of charge.

We support landlords by negotiating on prices and we have identified products that we have found suitable for most property owners. We do not offer individual advice on insurance products and in most cases only offer a product from a single supplier or underwriter which enables us to negotiate significant discounts and often exclusive rates which would not normally be available.

Tenant Referencing
To reduce the risks faced by many landlords it is recommended that prospective tenants are carefully referenced. This can mean a simple credit check, however selecting a more extensive checking system may prove to be of better value. If your tenant passes a full reference, insurances are available which will cover any legal costs relating to the tenancy agreement and many also pay the rent should your tenants turn out to be unscrupulous.

Legal Agreements
For all residential let properties it is important that the tenancy agreement is structured and written in a particular way to meet the current legislation. It is also crucial to remember that it is this document that the law will refer to should you have any difficulties and/or disputes with your tenant
